The Beijing Olympic Media Centre was equipped by TAIDEN digital conference system

The Beijing Olympic Media Centre is an important window for BOCOG and the Beijing municipal government to release information on 2008 Beijing Olympics.The centre is responsible for providing two press conference everyweek for Chinese and overseas journalists about Beijing Olympic information since May 9, 2007. The press conference hall takes up about 300 square meters. Taiden fully digital wired simultaneous interpretation system is equipped on the platform and journalist section with in total 156 units. Six chairman units are flush-mounted on the platform table and 150 delegate units for journalists are mounted on the chair arms. In all there are 4 interpreter booths with 8 interpreter units, as well as auto-video tracking system in use. In the journalist section, Taiden conference devices integrated with both Handhold microphone and simultaneous interpretation channel selector are installed on the arms of the chairs. In case the journalist has questions to ask, only press the Request button of the Unit ,and Then the operator of the conference can locate immediately who is requesting. the operator can approve or deny the speaking request . The journalist can pick up the handheld microphone to speak with approve by the operator.
